Significance

Roseophilin was isolated from Streptomyces griseoviridis and showed lower than 1 µM IC₅₀ values against K562 human erythroid leukemia and KB human epidermoid carcinoma cells. Interestingly, the unnatural enantiomer was 2-10 fold more potent.
